Today had been a long day. About 15miles with over 3000 feet of altitude gain and about the same in altitude loss. That makes for a lot of up and down. So when I say getting to Rae Lakes was a relief I mean it. Rae lakes was a large lake complex made up of three main bodies of water all connected. Most of these images were taken from the middle Rae Lake where we camped. A couple of the morning images were taken at the upper most Rae Lake. Rae Lakes had two prominent mountainous features. The Painted Lady, and Fin Dome. I found both to be magnificent. This image features the Painted Lady center picture.
